Sara Hurley

I am a professional storyteller, socially-engaged artist, producer and communication skills coach. With Story at its heart, my work centres around creativity, connection and compassion.

As both performer or workshop leader my work is rooted in traditional stories: folk tales, wonder tales, myths and legends from Britain and around the world.

I work creatively, and often collaboratively, across art forms, to bring personal stories and heritage stories of people and place to life.

Facilitator and Producer

I have worked in the arts and cultural sector all of my working life. In that time I have worked with thousands of people of all ages and stages of life in a wide variety of settings: arts centres, a multitude of community groups, theatres, hospitals and health settings, in and out of education, older people’s groups, care homes, fields and festivals, universities, pubs, pavements and palaces.

In performance, as a workshop facilitator or producer I am interested in bringing people together to connect with each other, in sparking the imagination and bringing the seen and unseen to life through the power of storytelling.

My Own Story
